Meeting of the EUROSAI project group Strategic goal 1 "Uses and methodologies of real-time audits"

Objavljeno 13. 6. 2024. The second meeting of the Project Group on the benefits and methodology of real time audits, under the leadership of the Court of Auditors of the Republic of Italy, was held in Budapest on June 4-5, 2024, organized by the State Audit Office of the Republic of Hungary.
The project group operates within the EUROSAI Strategic Goal 1 - Support for efficient, innovative and relevant audits by promoting and establishing professional cooperation, and representatives of 20 supreme audit institutions participate in its work.
At the meeting, the results of research on experiences in conducting audits that have the characteristics of a real-time audit, which was conducted through an Internet questionnaire at the beginning of 2024, were presented. The project group emphasized the importance and topicality of the topic of conducting audits in real time, as well as experiences and best practices were exchanged in implementation of audits with the specified specific approach. The representatives of the SAIs of Italy, Hungary, Cyprus, France, Portugal and UK presented their practice and experience in the implementation of audits in real time. Representatives of the Croatian State Audit Office presented through a discussion their experience in the implementation of performance audits that include elements of "real time" and agile audits.
