Auditor General

Ivan Klešić, M.Econ., was appointed Auditor General by the Decision of the Croatian Parliament of 10 December 2010.


He was born on 17 October, 1955 in Koritinja (Karlovac). He graduated from the high school Dr. Ivan Ribar in Karlovac and obtained his degree and master's degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb.

Through the Twinning Project „Strengthening the External Oversight of Budget Execution“, implemented jointly by the National Audit Office of the United Kingdom and the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia he obtained the certificates: Train the Trainers, Performance Audit, ACL, EU Audit Training, Anti-fraud and Corruption and Financial Audit. After completing his studies, he worked for the company "Automehanika Karlovac" as retail and wholesale executive, and deputy commercial director.

Since 1991 he was employed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Administration Karlovačka as the Head of the Department of Common Affairs, where he performed financial, accounting and human resources activities. Since 1996 he worked at the State Audit Office as the Head of the Regional Office Karlovac.
