Key discussion on the rule of law in Croatia

Objavljeno 24. 11. 2023. On November 21, 2023, representatives of the State Audit Office participated in a key discussion on the rule of law in Croatia, which was organized in Zagreb by the Representation of the European Commission in Croatia, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Internal Affairs of the European Commission. The dialogue on the rule of law is based on the European Commission's report on the rule of law for 2023, in which trends, positive practices and challenges in the field of the judicial system, the framework for the fight against corruption, media freedom and media pluralism are considered, and is also held in other EU member countries.
Key meetings or workshops at national levels were initiated by the European Commission within the framework of the EU anti-corruption network, in order to encourage cooperation among stakeholders in each member state and develop good practice for building a more effective anti-corruption policy throughout the EU.
In light of the above, in addition to representatives of the State Audit Office, representatives of other independent institutions, ministries, the judicial system, civil society, the academic community, i.e. key stakeholders of the Croatian framework for preventing and fighting corruption participated in the meeting.
