Bilateral visit to the National Audit Office of Malta

At the invitation of Charles Deguara, Auditor General of Malta, on October 30 and 31, 2023, Ivan Klešić, Auditor General of the Republic of Croatia, together with Dražen Brozinić and Anita Materljan, Assistants Auditor General, participated in a bilateral visit to the National Audit Office of Malta.
The bilateral meeting discussed, among other topics, the various audit practices, audit methodologies, audit products beyond audit reports, the significance of independence and autonomy for Supreme Audit Institutions, as well as audit matters pertaining to the European Union.
As part of the bilateral visit, the Auditors General of the two institutions signed the Agreement on Bilateral Cooperation between the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia and the National Audit Office of Malta. It further confirmed the good inter-institutional relationship and established the basis for its expansion in the future.
