Meeting in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia

A working meeting was held at the premises of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia on October 8, 2021, hosted by Goran Misovski, Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Maksim Acevski, Auditor General of the Republic of North Macedonia and his associates, Grozdana Perić, Chairperson of the Finance and Central Budget Committee of the Croatian Parliament and Nediljka Rogosic, Deputy Auditor General of the Republic of Croatia.
The meeting was held within the activities of the Twinning project "Improvement of External Audit and Parliamentary Oversight", which includes strengthening the cooperation of the State Audit Office with the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The topic of the meeting was the cooperation of supreme audit institutions and Parliament, delivery and discussion of audit reports at sessions of special committees and Parliament, with reference to the practice in the Republic of Croatia.
Activities for establishing an effective mechanism for discussing audit reports, which is of particular importance for the oversight of public funds, have already begun in the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
