Visit of the Auditor General to the National Audit Office of Malta

At the invitation of Charles Deguara, Auditor General of Malta, on October 20 and 21, 2022, Ivan Klešić, Auditor General, Dražen Brozinić, Assistant Auditor General - Head of Cabinet and Anita Materljan, Assistant Auditor General, visited the National Audit Office of Malta. The bilateral meeting discussed, among other things, the roles and responsibilities of the two institutions, the relationship between the state audit and the parliament with a special emphasis on parent committees, the time sheet management system, the functioning of SAIs in emergency conditions, as well as other professional challenges and topics of common interest. As part of the bilateral meeting, the Auditor General and his associates visited the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malta, where they met with Dr. Anglo Farrugia, President of the House of Representatives, with whom they discussed the modalities and experiences of cooperation between supreme audit institutions and national parliaments.
