The international conference and the bilateral meeting in SAI Kosovo

At the invitation of Vlora Spanca, Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo, Neda Rogošić, Deputy Auditor General of Croatia and Lidija Pernar, Assistant Auditor General for International Cooperation, on October 12, 2023, participated in the International Thematic Conference "The Role of Supreme Audit Institutions to the Benefit of the Citizens". The Conference was organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the National Audit Office of Kosovo. Within the framework of the conference, two panels were held, where the impact of the audit on improving the management of public finances and the benefits of digitization and IT audits were discussed.
Over 60 heads and representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions of 10 countries, the European Commission, SIGMA/OECD, the UN and the OSCE mission in Kosovo, attended the Conference.
After the Conference, a bilateral meeting was held with the Auditor General of Kosovo and Bezad Halilaj, Deputy Auditor General, during which information was exchanged on the mandates, organization, methodology and audit approaches within the two institutions, as well as on their results and achievements. Also, areas of common interest were identified, as a basis for the further development of inter-institutional cooperation.
