Liaison Officers Meeting

Objavljeno 2. 4. 2025. Liaison officers (LO) meeting of the EU Contact Committee, hosted by the Supreme Audit Institution of Poland, was held on March 27, 2025 in Warsaw. It was attended by the liaison officers and representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the EU Member States, the Network of Candidate and Potential Candidate Countiries, European Court of Auditors (ECA) and SIGMA.
After the introductory remarks by the Auditor General of the Supreme Audit Institution of Poland, the concept of the EU Contact Committee meeting, planned to be held on 18 and 19 November 2025 in Malta, that will be organized by the European Court of Auditors (ECA) and hosted by SAI Malta, was presented, including information on the main topic of the meeting and logistical information.
Discussion was held on the activities within the EU Contact Committee and the status of its working groups, and special attention was paid to the new, updated version of the CC Cooperation framework, which represents the framework for the implementation of the activities of the EU Contact Committee. The improvement of the EU Contact Committee website was also discussed and its new look was presented.
Further on, collaborative audit of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Belgium and France was presented, and the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the role of Supreme Audit Institutions in the audit of EU funds were discussed. Another issue discussed was the improvement of the supervisory and audit framework of the European Investment Bank (EIB), as proposed by the SAIs of Austria and Germany based on their joint audit.
At the end of the LO meeting, the hosts and dates of subsequent activities were confirmed, and it was agreed that the annual LO meeting for 2026 will be held in Cyprus, and the EU Contact Committee for 2026 in France.
