Closing of the Twinning Project in Albania
On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, a conference was held in Tirana on the closure of the European Commission's Twinning Project "Strengthening External Audit Capacities", which was jointly conducted by the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia and the State Audit Office of the Republic of Poland.
Closing ceremony was attended by Romana Vlahutin, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Albania, Sanja Bujas Juraga, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Albania, Mr. Andrzej Styczen, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ivan Klešić, Auditor General of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Krzystof Kwiatkowski, President of the State Audit Office of Poland, then Mr. Wojciech Kutila, Vice-president of the State Audit Office of Poland and Ms. Lidija Pernar, Assistant Auditor General of the Republic of Croatia as Project Leaders, as well as representatives of the State Audit Office of Albania and other guests.
During the implementation of the 27-month project a series of missions were conducted, numerous meetings, trainings and workshops were held, pilot audits were carried out and several study visits were organized. All program objectives have been successfully achieved, and the basis for future professional activities is set, both multilaterally and bilaterally.
