Guest lectures at Faculty of Economics in Zagreb
On November 28, 2022, Ivan Klešić, Auditor General and Lidija Pernar, Assistant Auditor General, held a meeting with Associate Professor Ph.D. Sanja Sever Mališ, dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, and professors from the Department of Accounting: prof. Ph.D. Ivana Mamić Sačer, prof. Ph.D. Lajoš Žager, and associate professor Ph.D. Ivana Pavić. After the meeting, they held guest lectures as part of the State Audit collegium at the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate University Studies, for students majoring in Accounting and Auditing. The Auditor General addressed the students with the topic "Work and role of the State Audit Office", while M.Sc. Lidija Pernar presented the topic "International context of the State Audit Office and audit reports on the example of auditing sustainable development goals". After the presentation, a discussion was held related to the advantages and challenges in performing the tasks of the state audit, IT support in the implementation of the state audit, the specifics of the implementation of the state audit during the Covid-19 pandemic, current affairs and future directions in the field of public sector audit. On December 12, 2022, a guest lecture on the State Audit course was held by M.Econ. Božo Vuletić-Antić, Assistant Auditor General and M.Econ., Nada Svete, Assistant Auditor General. The topic of the presentation was "Efficiency audit with reference to the audit of real estate management owned by local units". After the presentation, a discussion was held in which a special review was given to local units, the selection of efficiency audit topics and the connection between internal and state audit.
